are especially harmed by persistent welfare and its attendant
Children growing up on welfare:
Are at greater risk for drugs,
teen pregnancy and suicide.
Are more vulnerable to poor nutrition fueled by poor food choices.
As they mature, children on welfare have higher rates of unemployment.
Kids on welfare raised without
Five times more likely to live
Nine times more likely to drop out of school.
Twenty times more likely to end up in prison.
Persons on welfare need a
positive incentive to become self-fulfilling citizens. Place
ten percent of welfare money in a savings account for each welfare
person. When that person achieves a high school diploma and employment,
that person would no longer need welfare. That former welfare
person would collect the savings account money.
Please send a copy of this letter
to your congress person and send to helpful friends who would
send the letter. This is the positive incentive path for
former welfare persons to achieve the American Dream.
